Logistics is an umbrella term for all the activities that ensure that materials and products are at the right place, at the right time and in the right quantity. It can be defined as the planning, organization and control of the flow of materials from acquisition of the raw materials to end consumption.

Logistics involves seeing everything that flows in, through and out of the company as a whole rather than as separate parts.

Objectives: The purpose of the course is to provide you with basic skills needed to coordinate the supply, production and distribution functions in an efficient and professional manner.

Participants: This course is for you, who need a basic introduction to the subject logistics. It is for people who are working, or are about to start working with logistic issues within production planning and development, production engineering, inventory management, purchasing, sourcing and other business professionals related to the flow of materials.

Qualifications: No previous knowledge is required, but it is preferable if you have some work experience.
